Dillet
Classification: Rabid Armored Beast
Habitat: Jouven, Dormon
Elemental Type: Earth / RAD-Affected
Status: Aggressive – Unpredictable Threat
Group Name: A scramble of Dillets
Description:
Dillets are human-sized, rabid armadillo beasts covered in a sleek, glossy green exoshell that shimmers like wet metal under the RAD-touched light of Terra. Their heavily plated bodies are lined with razor-edged scales, overlapping like ancient armor. Despite their heavy build, Dillets are alarmingly quick, darting between trees and boulders with erratic bursts of speed.
These creatures are especially feared in the Neon Forests of Jouven and the lower canyons of [[Dormon]], where they often emerge from dense foliage or sand-burrows with a feral screech and an immediate charge.
Behavior:
Territorial & Rabid: Dillets are not passive unless severely outnumbered. They attack intruders on sight, often in disorienting bursts of movement.
Tunnel Surprises: In Dormon, some Dillets dig shallow tunnels and will launch up from the ground mid-fight.
Panic Swarming: When wounded or cornered, a single Dillet may trigger others nearby to enter a berserk state—initiating a localized swarm.
Physical Traits:
Shell: Thick and segmented, the shell gleams with a green lacquered shine. It reflects light like wet stone and is resistant to most blunt force attacks.
Claws & Movement: Long, curved claws are used for both burrowing and slashing. Dillets move with twitchy, jerky patterns that make them hard to predict or target.
Eyes: Blood-red and glossy—locked in a constant frenzied expression. Often the only visible part of them in thick underbrush.
RAD Influence: While not overtly magical, their blood seems to thicken and heat in high RAD zones, making them more aggressive and faster when exposed.
Abilities & Combat Notes:
Shell Slam: Charges head-first into a target with brutal momentum.
Tunnel Leap: If underground terrain is loose, may disappear and re-emerge with a surprise attack.
Rage Claw: Repeated slashes that increase in speed with each successful hit.
Feral Frenzy: When below 50% health, has a chance to become erratic and attack multiple times in a turn.
Weaknesses:
Magic Magic and illusion-based spells confuse their simple minds
Weak points exist beneath the shell, especially near the inner leg joints and underbelly
Fire-based attacks cause temporary shell softening, reducing armor value for 1–2 turns
